The first six months of the 2025 movie schedule are nothing but a distant memory, but a large chunk of those movies – Captain America: Brave New World, A Minecraft Movie, and Sinners, to name a few – are already available on some of the best streaming services around. So, if you’re like me and missed out on a quite a few of these on the big screen but still want to see what all the fuss is about, I’ve got you more than covered.

Below is a breakdown of all the new and recent movies streaming that I cannot wait to check out in July 2025. From 2025 Netflix originals like The Old Guard 2 to the surprisingly fun Heads of State, and a whole collection of VOD titles, there’s just so much I want to watch (and so should you). With that out of the way, let’s take a look at some of the most promising streaming titles available right now!

Don’t want to wait for your favorite movies (or maybe those you missed on the big screen) to hit one of your favorite streaming services? Though you’ll have to pay a premium price for the convenience of watching a movie early (some of these titles cost $25 on Amazon), sometimes the price is no problem.

With the year now in full swing, it won’t be long before we see some of those highly anticipated big-screen releases find their way to VOD and streaming services.

Philip Sledge
Content Writer

Philip grew up in Louisiana (not New Orleans) before moving to St. Louis after graduating from Louisiana State University-Shreveport. When he's not writing about movies or television, Philip can be found being chased by his three kids, telling his dogs to stop barking at the mailman, or chatting about professional wrestling to his wife. Writing gigs with school newspapers, multiple daily newspapers, and other varied job experiences led him to this point where he actually gets to write about movies, shows, wrestling, and documentaries (which is a huge win in his eyes). If the stars properly align, he will talk about For Love Of The Game being the best baseball movie of all time.
